Saturday, May 26, 2012 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jemeli Sang finished in the top-25 in the 5000m to lead the Atlantic Sun contingent at the NCAA East Preliminary Round final day. Sang posted a time of 16:44.92 and finished in 12th in her heat while JU’s 4x100m relay team posted an 18th place showing. North Florida hosted the event at Hodges Stadium, the first time an A-Sun institution served in that role. The NCAA Championship continues on June 6-9 with the Final Rounds in Des Moines, Iowa. UNF’s Brianna Frazier qualified for the semifinals of the 400m on Friday night. Jacksonville’s Charlene Charles will join Frazier at Drake after her season-best mark 5422 in the heptathlon ranked 22nd nationally and will place her automatically in the 24-person field.
