MACON, Ga. - Three Altanitc Sun Conference women's soccer student-athletes picked up 2009 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors. With UNF's Katelin Swift earning first-team honors in District III and teammate Lauren Maze named to the second-team. Belmont's Jamye Trocino picked up second-team honors in district IV.

Swift, just a day removed from being named to the Atlantic Sun Conference Second-Team All-Conference team, earned first team honors. The Jacksonville, Fla. native led the Ospreys in goals with eight including one game-winning goal. The physical education major also ranked first on UNF in points with 19.

Maze, a midfielder, netted one goal in 18 starts for UNF in 2009. The Melbourne, Fla. native has earned Altantic Sun All-Academic Honors three times (2006, 2007, 2008). The international business major rank as one of only three players in district II with a 4.00 grade-point average or better.

Trocino, a Nursing major from Franklin, Tenn., leads the Bruins in scoring after netting 10 during the regular season. The midfielder, who started all but of BU's 18 matches, has scored a goal in all but two of Belmont's wins over the course of the season. She helped the Bruins go 8-1-3 to close the season, outscoring opponents 31-7 over that span. The two-time Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team selection is currently ranked 58th in goals per game (0.556) and 75th in points per game (1.28) among all NCAA Division I players. Trocino also is also tied for first in the conference in goals and is second in points (23) and game winning goals (3).

"Jayme could not be more deserving of this award," said Head Coach Lisa Howe. "As a nursing major in her most difficult semester of the program, leading our team in scoring and being one of the league leaders in scoring, it shows she is the exemplary scholar athlete. Jayme is one of those people who is at her best when she is the busiest. She has the unique ability to place all of her focus in the present on the task at hand. Jayme's scoring production is a big reason the team had its best regular season finish - Conference co-Champions."
