2008 A-Sun Women's Soccer Championship Field Set

MACON, Ga. - The six-team field for the 2008 A-Sun Women's Soccer Championship has been set led by Mercer, the top seed. Kennesaw State, Belmont, Jacksonville, ETSU and Stetson secured berths as well.
Saturday's lone contest, Mercer's 2-0 win against Campbell resulted in the first seed awarded as well as the final two teams earning their spots in the Championship. The win by the Bears meant their first regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in next month's Championship. With the Camels' loss, ETSU and Stetson locked up the final two spots.
The 2008 Championship will have a familiar feel to the 2007 event as all six teams participating this year competed in last year's event. Kennesaw State hosts the Championship, starting on Wednesday, Nov. 5 for the third straight year. All seven matches can be viewed on ASun.TV.
