October 31 Kennesaw State at Mercer Bear Field, Macon, Ga. 7:00pm/7:00pm
Yes, you read that heading correctly. Wednesday's match between Kennesaw State and Mercer easily merits Match of the Year. These two Georgia schools have bullied the rest of the league, each going 9-1 in A-Sun play. Kennesaw has streamrolled its opponents, averaging a full goal more per game than the next most prolific offensive in A-Sun play. Each school has relied on stingy defense, allowing only seven goals through 10 conference games. Mercer owns the slighest of edges in goals-against average due to playing one overtime period. This match features the reigning offensive and defensive Player of the Week in Kennesaw State forward Annie Phillips and Mercer defender Kacie Hudson. These matches will be televised by ASun.TV.
