MACON, Ga. – FGCU's Shannen Wacker and Kennesaw State's Melissa Hutto picked up their first career Atlantic Sun Women's Soccer Weekly Awards, announced Monday by the league office. Wacker netted the game-winning goal vs. FIU, while Hutto guided the Owls to a 1-0 win at Arkansas with six saves.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Shannen Wacker, FGCU (F – So. – Parker, Colo. – Science)

• First Career Atlantic Sun Player of Week
• Scored game-winner to defeat FIU on Friday
• Her goal in the 63rd minute was her second of the season
• The goal moved FGCU to 3-1-1 on the season
• Marked the third game-winner of her career

OTHER NOMINEES:

• Leah Wood (MF, Lipscomb) - Netted game-winning goal in 1-0 win vs. Austin Peay
• Lauren Gassie (MF, Mercer) - Tallied game-winner in 6-0 shutout of Alabama A&M

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Melissa Hutto, Kennesaw State (GK – Sr. – Pensacola, Fla. – Exercise & Health Science)

• First Career Atlantic Sun Player of the Week
• Made six saves in a 1-0 win at SEC foe, Arkansas
• Added four saves in contest against No. 21 Tennessee
• Posted a .833 save percentage on the week
• Win vs. the Razorbacks was program's second-ever vs. SEC opponent

OTHER NOMINEES:

• Erin Zerio (GK, Lipscomb) - Totaled 10 saves including six in 1-0 shutout win vs. Austin Peay
• Brittany Brown (GK, FGCU) - Earned win in 1-0 shutout vs. Florida International; made three saves
• Alexandra Lee (D, Jacksonville) - Helped Dolphins to 0-0 tie vs. Georgia Southern; held opponents to six shots on goal
