MACON, Ga. - The Jacksonville track & field team made strides at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Gainesville, Fla., as senior Natasha Harvey made a huge NCAA automatic qualifying leap with a mark of 6.50 meters in the long jump. This jump earns her a fifth career indoor Athlete of the Week award, the conference announced Wednesday.
The exercise science major paced the Dolphins after winning the long jump which bolted her to the top of the A-Sun performance list, beating out UNF Osprey Anne Delbovo's jump of 5.52 meters. Harvey ranks second in the national performance list behind Jeomi Maduka of Cornell who hit a mark of 6.63 meters on Jan. 24 at the Upstate Challenge hosted by Cornell.
