FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - - Sophomore Natasha Harvey finished fourth in the long jump to earn All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday afternoon in Fayetteville, Ark.

Harvey is the third Dolphin track athlete in school history to earn All-America accolades, earning it with a jump of 20'10.75" (6.37m).

Monique Tubbs and Andrea Pressley were the last Dolphins to earn All-America accolades in 2004. Tubbs earned indoor honors after placing third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.26, while Andrea Pressley was All-America honoree at the NCAA Outdoor Championships by earning a fourth place mark in the Heptathlon (5,586 points).

"Natasha saved her best jumps for the most important meet of the season, which is a sign of a true competitor," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "She has had to overcome some small injuries that affected her training, which makes it more impressive."

Harvey opened the event with a jump of 20'8.5" (6.31m) and had her best mark in two more attempts. UCLA sophomore Rhonda Watkins won the event with a jump of 21'06.75".

Harvey earned a spot at the championships after recording a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 20'9" to rank as the top collegian at the Florida Intercollegiate on Jan. 13. Her mark was tied for fourth with Watkins heading into the event.
