BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Atlantic Sun Conference champion Campbell University
will play in the NCAA West regional women’s golf championship, next week
at St. George, Utah.
Sixty-three schools and a total of 324 participants were selected Monday to
participate in three regional tournaments in order to determine the national
championship field. The top eight teams and two individuals from the East, Central
and West fields will advance to the NCAA Championship, May 22-25 at the LPGA
International Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The regional appearance is the 10th in the last 11 years for Campbell and the

John Crooks’ 16-year tenure.
CU is making its fourth-straight NCAA regional showing after winning the Atlantic
Sun Conference title three times (2004, 2006, 2007) in the last four seasons.
