The Ridges Golf Course was designed by Arthur Hills, twice named Golf Digest's "Architect of the Year" and one of the top five course designers in the country. Hills drapes his courses around a simple idea--to capture the beauty of a place, not alter it. Across the graceful landscape of The Ridges, Hills has drawn on this same sensibility to lay out a masterpice of hole-to-hole variety----what he calls "a golfer's delight." Like every great course, The Ridges gives the golfer drama and excitement. You encounter water on seven holes, magnificent views and heart-pounding approach shots to the greens. For instance, hole #8, where golfers can play "safe" to the right side of Boones Creek or try to carry the green in two by flying over the water twice. So it's a course that is absolutely designed to be fun, regardless of the level of ability. Then again, there's an ever-present temptation to "go for it."

The Atlantic Sun Conference Media Relations staff will serve as the primary contact for the 2008 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Championship. Filing a Story In-tournament live scoring will be available from Golfstat (www.golfstat.com). Please note that the live updates are not necessarily final. No scores are official until a player signs and turns in his scorecard at the conclusion of each day's round and it is recorded/confirmed. Visiting media relations personnel should be able to gain access to wireless internet hook-ups at Keith Hills Country Club. See Stan Cole or Adam Prendergast for assistance upon arrival. Results Results will also be posted on the A-Sun Women's Golf Championship page on the Atlantic Sun website (www.atlanticsun.org) as soon as they are available. Results and a recap from each round will be also emailed to all A-Sun golf contacts after each round. Additionally, audio files from select participants and a slideshow featuring the day’s action will be available online.
ACCOMODATIONS
The DoubleTree Hotel will serve as the official hotel for the championship.
