Lady Bisons Unanimously Take First in #ASunXC Coaches Poll

MACON, Ga. - In the first Atlantic Sun Women's Cross Country Coaches Poll of the season Lipscomb received unanimous first place votes to top the league.

The Bisons had a strong showing in their first meet of the season as freshman Sally Larson led the pack in the Belmont Opener. Larson finished second of the collegiate runners with a time of 17:54.10 with teammate Tessa Hoefle crossing the line right behind her.

The Bisons rank seventh in the South Region of the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Poll.

Coming in second in the A-Sun Coaches Poll is North Florida with 88 points. The Ospreys are No. 12 in the South Region and claimed the team title to their first meet of the season at 110% XC Invite at UNF's home course.

ETSU landed in third as voted by the coaches, while Jacksonville ranks fourth with 69 points.

FGCU rounded off the top-five with 49 points in the poll.
