Campbell's Adrienne Rieley Named NCCSIA All-State Second-Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Campbell University junior center Adrienne Rieley was named
to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) 2005-06
University Division Women’s Basketball Second-Team the association announced
on April 4.
Rieley was an Atlantic Sun All-Conference Second-Team selection after leading
the Lady Camels in scoring with 11.1 points per game. Campbell finished fifth
in the A-Sun after being picked as low as ninth in the preseason polls.
The Hope Mills, N.C. native recorded the first four double-doubles of her career
and scored in double-figures in 18 of the final 25 games of the season. Rieley
reached the 20-point plateau in wins against both Kennesaw State and Winthop,
and shot better than 50 percent from the floor in 18 of her 28 games played.
Rieley hit the game-winning free throw with two seconds remaining in the Lady
Camels 65-64 victory at North Florida. She finished second on the team averaging
6.5 rebounds a game and shooting 50 percent from the floor. She was the first
Campbell player to be named All-Conference since April Cromartie in 2001.
The Lady Camels finished the 2005-06 season with their most overall and Atlantic
Sun victories since the 2001-02 season, and returned to the A-Sun Tournament
for the first time since the 2002-03 campaign.
