MACON, Ga. - Kennesaw State junior Britteny Henderson set a pair of career-highs in two games last weekend, as she grabbed a career-best rebound total Saturday night and netted a points standard on Monday. Her herculean efforts led the Lady Owls to a pair of conference victories and on Tuesday, Henderson received her conference-leading third Player of the Week honor of the season the conference office announced.

The junior opened her extraordinary week on Saturday night against Gardner-Webb. Henderson scored 22 points and grabbed a career-high 21 boards despite battling flu-like symptoms. The 21 rebounds represent the highest single-game total in the A-Sun this season. Still a little weak from the illness two days later, she followed that performance with a career-best 28 points and 11 rebounds as the Lady Owls dropped Campbell by 12 in their last trip to Carter Gymnasium. The psychology major averaged an astounding 25 points and 16 rebounds in two games lat week. KSU is off to its best conference start since joining the A-Sun with an 8-3 mark as the Lady Owls currently sit in third place.

The Atlantic Sun Conference is a 12-member league committed to Building Winners for Life, with a focus on academic and athletic integrity and a balance between the two for the student-athlete, and maintaining a high level of sportsmanship. Other Top Performers:

Delia De La Torre, Florida Gulf Coast (Sr. – Las Cruces, N.M. – Criminal Justice) – For the week, averaged 19 points, five rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting 66.7 percent from the field and from behind the 3-pt line.

Courtney Hawkins, USC Upstate (So. – Greer, S.C. – Business Administration) – Averaged 17.5 points and 2.0 assists per game for the Spartans

Ashli Jackson, Stetson (So. – Opelika, Ala. – Rehabilitative Studies) – Jackson averaged 14.5 points and shot 60 percent (6-10) from three-point land in a 1-1 week for the Hatters.
