MACON, Ga. - ETSU sophomore Siarre Evans notched her 14th career double-double, and sixth of the season, helping the Lady Bucs rally from a seven-point halftime deficit past then second-place Kennesaw State last Saturday, and remain in a tie with Jacksonville atop the A-Sun standings. Evans dropped in 11 more points against Mercer Monday night as ETSU completed a perfect week, and on Tuesday the conference office named her Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Evans just missed averaging a double-double for the week as she averaged 14 points and nine rebounds in 24.5 minutes of work. The Georgia native was on fire all weekend, hitting 52.9 percent of her shots (9-17), including 4-of-6 (66.7) from beyond the arc and 6-for-7 (85.7) from the charity stripe.. On Saturday, the Griffin, Ga. Native scored 13 of her 17-points in the second-half, as ETSU erased a 41-34 halftime deficit, emerging with an 81-77 victory. The sport management major tallied 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in only 22 minutes of work in the Lady Bucs rout of the Bears on Monday night. This is Evans second career Player of the Week honor, and completes a sweep of weekly awards for ETSU; marking the third time this season (and second consecutive week) an institution has received both weekly honors.
