A-Sun Women's Basketball Championship Match-ups Set

MACON, Ga. - It took the final day of the season to set all of the seeds for the 2007 Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Championship hosted by the City of Dothan and the Dothan Civic Center. Top-seeded Belmont clinched their third regular season title in four years, but suffered one of its two A-Sun losses at the hands of eighth-seeded Mercer in early February.
Jacksonville claimed the No. 2 seed, their best ever showing and will battle Sunshine State rival No. 7 Stetson. For the second straight year, ETSU is the No. 3 seed and plays No. 6 Lipscomb, but is looking to avoid a repeat of last season when they were upset in the first round. Closing out day one action is a rematch of last season's No. 4 versus No. 5 game with Gardner-Webb facing Campbell. Last year, the Bulldogs won the match-up 71-65 en route to reaching the Championship game.
