Team-by-Team Notes

Belmont Bruins

• Belmont claimed their third Atlantic Sun regular season title in four years with a come from behind win over Gardner-Webb over the weekend. • The win also extended the Bruins' home win streak at the Curb Event to 23 games, the second longest streak in the country. • This week, the Bruins travel to Florida to wrap up regular season play with games at Jacksonville and North Florida.

Campbell Fighting Camels

• The Lady Camels have won three of their last four games moving from the number eight seed in the conference tournament to within a half game of the fifth slot. • Adrienne Rieley has posted four-consecutive double-figure scoring games and three in a row since missing a pair of games (ETSU, Mercer) • Campbell scored a season best 43 first half points at Lipscomb just two days after scoring a season-low 10 first half points at Belmont.

ETSU Bucs

• The Lady Bucs picked up their fifth straight home win by defeating Kennesaw State, 78-60, on Friday. Freshman Latisha Belcher picked up her first collegiate double-double with 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, while senior Brooke Wilhoit dished out a career-best 14 assists. • ETSU is averaging over 80 points per game (80.8) and beating its opponents by over 20 points (21.6) during its five-game home winning streak. • In the national rankings the Lady Bucs rank in the top-50 in four statistical categories: steals, assists, scoring offens, and three-point field goals per game.

Gardner-Webb Bulldogs

• The Bulldogs defeated Lipscomb on its home court for the first time in school history before falling to Belmont by three on Saturday evening. • GWU will try to send seniors Brittany Harmon, Shameka Smith and Novia Sturdivant out in style on Senior Night, which will take place on Sautrday, March 3 at 2 p.m. against Campbell.

Jacksonville Dolphins

• Over the weekend, JU tied a program record with six consecutive wins to tie the previous mark set by the 2000-01 squad. The Dolphins also set a new program record with four consecutive road wins. • JU has also set a new record for season sweeps in the conference with two victories over Campbell, Kennesaw State, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson. • The Dolphins have won 13 of their last 15 games, including 12 of their last 14 A-Sun contest.

Kennesaw State Owls

• KSU continues to be the best rebounding team in the conference as the Lady Owls are averaging 43.0 boards a game. • With 11 wins on the year, the Lady Owls have already doubled last year's win total of 5. • Freshman Rosetta Hollis continues to make her push towards being named A-Sun Freshman of the Year. The Fort Benning Ga. native posted her fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds at ETSU on Friday night.

Lipscomb Bisons

• The Lady Bisons honored Keirstin Head, Penny Jones and Julie Martin Saturday for "Senior Day'". Martin is junior in legibility, but is undecided about another season. • Point guard Catie Woods has scored in double figures in 10 of the last 14 games. • The Lady Bisons closed out the home season with two losses to finish 6-7 overall and 5-4 in the conference on their home court in Allen Arena.

Mercer Bears

• The Bears close out the regular season on the road this week. Mercer visits instate rival Kennesaw State, Friday, March 2, and concludes the two-game road trip with a contest against ETSU on Sunday, March 4.. • Senior guard Sally Skeldon moved into 10th place all-time in the Atlantic Sun Saturday when she recorded her 528th career assist. She would move into eighth place with five more assists. The Texan is also tied for 21st all-time in the A-Sun with 210 steals, needing four more to move into 20th place.

UNF Ospreys

• UNF finished the week 1-1, splitting a road doubleheader with a win at Mercer and a loss at Stetson. • After falling to Stetson 72-50, a UNF lineup that has been plagued by injuries gutted out a win at Stetson over the weekend. • Shennette Sheffield came up big in the final minute of play, helping putting the Lady Ospreys ahead of Mercer with a 43-42 after she hit a shot with a minute to play against the Bears.

Stetson Hatters

• The Hatters broke their seven game losing streak in a 72-50 win over UNF. This was the Hatters largest win margin of the season. • Senior Janene Maclin and junior Vlendy Roldan each came away with 14 points to lead Stetson to victory. • In her final game at home, Maclin led the Hatters with her fifth double-double of the season recording 15 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort to Jacksonville.
