Campbell's Rieley Earns Player of the Week

Macon, Ga. – Campbell’s Adrienne Rieley has been named Atlantic Sun Women’s Basketball Player of the Week the league office announced Monday afternoon. Rieley averaged 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in a pair of conference road games.

Rieley netted 14 points in games at Belmont and Lipscomb and recorded her third double-double of the season adding 10 rebounds in the victory over the Lady Bisons. Campbell 80-68 victory at Lipscomb was the first for the program in Allen Arena.

The 6-foot-1 center from Hope Mills, N.C. has scored double figures in four-straight contests and in five of her last six games. She was Campbell’s only player to reach the plateau in the game against the league-leading Bruins.

The Preseason All-Conference Selection is second on the team averaging 9.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Over the past six games, Rieley is averaging 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest.

This is Campbell’s second Player of the Week recipient this season and the first career honor for Rieley. Junior Marlena Murphy received the honor on December 26 breaking a three-year drought for Campbell.

Amber Rockwell, BEL (Fr. - G - Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Exercise Science) -- Rockwell's 13 point effort in the second half against Gardner-Webb led the way for the Bruins to come back to win the game and claim their third Atlantic Sun title in four years.

Latisha Belcher , ETSU (Fr. - F - Ridgeway, Va. - History) -- Belcher earned her first collegiate double-double against Kennesaw State scoring 10 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds.

Shameka Smith, GWU (Sr. - F - Bessemer City, N.C. - Psychology) -- Recorded a double-double in the win over Lipscomb with 14 points and a season-high 16 rebounds.

Virginia Gregoire, JU (So. - G - Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Marketing) -- Gregoire averaged 16.5 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals for the week.

TaShera Lewis, MER (So. - F - Eastman, Ga. - Biology) -- Lewis scored 21 points against Jacksonville and 15 points against North Florida while shooting 60 percent from the floor in the two games.

Jennifer Bowen, UNF (So. - G - St. James, Mo. - Undecided ) -- Bowen averaged 13 points and 3.5 rebounds on the week in helping UNF split a pair of road games at Stetson and Mercer.

Janene Maclin, STET (Sr. - F - Chicago, Ill. - Business Management) -- Maclin recorded her fifth double-double of the season on Saturday afternoon against UNF. She had a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds.
