Macon, Ga. – Jacksonville's Ashley Williams set the court ablaze over the weekend,
averaging a double-double of 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She was
named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Monday by the conference office.
The junior forward helped Jacksonville set a new program record for home wins
in a season, as the Dolphins reached nine wins against Stetson and Mercer. Against
the Hatters, Williams tallied 23 points, 11 rebounds and tied a career-high
six steals. She was 8-of-13 from the floor and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free
throw line. Against Mercer, she picked up her fifth double-double of the season,
scoring 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting and 14 rebounds to lead Jacksonville tot
he 58-48 victory.
For the week, Williams netted 41 points, snagged 25 rebounds, two assists, and
eight steals, shot over 50 percent from field and 79 percent from the charity
stripe.
The Jacksonville, Fla. native earns her second Player of the Week award for
the season and fourth in her career. Williams is the league's second best scorer,
averaging 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.

points against JU and averaged 14 points and three rebounds for the week.
Tamara Hubbard, UNF
(Sr. - G - Jacksonville, Fla. - Psychology) -- Hubbard came back from
a knee inujry to lead the Lady Ospreys to a pair of wins, averaging 16 points
off the bench.
