#ASunWBB - Teams Fight To Gain Momentum on Monday Night

MACON, Ga. - With a win on Saturday FGCU became the first to clinch a spot in the A-Sun Tournament. The Eagles face North Florida on the road in tonight's A-Sun action after the Osprey marked a key victory vs. Stetson on Saturday.

USC Upstate will host Lipscomb in tonight's ESPN3 game, while Northern Kentucky travels to ETSU and Stetson is on the road at Jacksonville.

All four A-Sun women's hoops contests tip-off at 7 PM tonight.

Lipscomb (2-18; 1-9) at USC Upstate (8-13; 4-6) - ESPN3 - 7 PM
• The Spartans have not lost a home contest to the Bisons in the last five seasons.
• Earlier this season the Bisons came away with a 57-56 win vs. Upstate thanks to a last second three-pointer by Presley Stastny.
• USC Upstate is shooting 74.9 percent from the free throw line, which ranks second in the league.
• Jess Reece pulled down 17 rebounds vs. the Spartans; the most by an LU player since 2004.
• The Spartans are No. 1 in the league in defensive boards with 26.1 defensive rebounds per game.
• In conference play, Lipscomb’s Banks and USC Upstate’s Brittany Starling lead all freshmen in scoring with 11.3 PPG.

Northern Kentucky (8-11; 5-5) at ETSU (6-11; 4-6) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• The Buccaneers lead the league in rebounding margin (5.4) and blocked shots (5.0).
• NKU’s Jaime Hamlet ranks No. 2 in conference games in three-point shooting percentage (.500).
• Three ETSU players rank in the top-15 in the league in steals per game, the most of all A-Sun squads.
• In the Norse 68-55 win vs. ETSU at home this season, Kayla Thacker recorded a game-high 20 points.
• In conference games, the Bucs Destiny Mitchell is averaging 9.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.
• Thacker is No. 2 in the league in minutes played averaging 35.1 minutes per game.

FGCU (17-5; 10-0) at North Florida(10-11; 6-4) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• Earlier this season the Ospreys challenged FGCU at home and only trailed the Eagles by two points at the half.
• FGCU’s 11 game win streak ranks tied for No. 5 in the country. The Eagles last loss was on December 22, 2012 to UCF.
• The Ospreys went on a 13-0 run in the second half to comeback to beat Stetson in its last conference match-up.
• The Eagles have won their last 28 conference games which is the longest streak in the country behind Baylor (31). This streak marks an A-Sun record for longest streak.
• North Florida has held its conference opponents to 58.3 PPG and held FGCU to a conference low 53 points in Fort Myers.
• FGCU is outscoring its conference opponents by an average of 25.3 PPG and shooting 44.2 percent from the field.

Stetson (15-6; 8-2) at Jacksonville (7-14; 3-7) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• The Dolphins are 2-1 at home vs. the Hatters in the last three seasons.
• In their last meeting, the Hatters Victoria McGowan scored a game-high 27 points in the Hatters 73-56 victory.
• Jacksonville has the most players ranked in the top-20 in the A-Sun in rebounding with four total.
• Stetson is the only team in the league to have all five starters ranked in the top-30 in the A-Sun in scoring.
• The Dolphin’s Tracie Sneed has stepped up and is averaging 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in conference match-ups.
• The Hatters McGowan is ranked No. 1 in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.466) and three- pointers per game (2.4).
