MACON, Ga. - Playing in her first year with Mercer, senior Dominique Chism used a pair of career nights to lead the Bears to a 2-0 mark last week with wins against South Carolina State and Louisiana-Lafayette. The forward's stellar play earned her the first Player of the Week honor of her career the conference office announced Monday.

The Oklahoma State transfer jumped out to an excellent start to life as a Bear in two contests last week. The Dallas native scored a career-high 21 points against South Carolina State and matched that total three days later versus Louisiana-Lafayette. She scored 17 of her 21 points against the Ragin’ Cajuns in the second half as she helped rally the Bears from an 11-point halftime deficit. For the week, the education major averaged 21 points and 4.5 rebounds in two contests.

Other Top Performers:
Siarre Evans, ETSU (Jr. – G- Griffin, Ga. – Sport Management) – Evans notched her 17th career double-double against Vanderbilt, finishing with a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Kendra Wallace, USC Upstate (Fr. – G – Hurricane, W.Va. – Undeclared) – Scored 20 points in an 87-70 win over Charleston Southern on Thursday night, netting a DI-era single-game record five 3-pointers.

Jessica Bobbitt, Belmont (Sr. – P – Trenton, Tenn. – Nursing) – Notched first double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Tennessee Tech.
