Stetson's Readshaw Wins First POTW Award of Season

Macon, Ga. – Stetson senior setter Karla Readshaw turned in a near-flawless week in three matches for the Hatters in earning the first Atlantic Sun Player of the Week for the 2007 season, announced on Monday by the conference offices. She turned in double-doubles in a loss against SEC foe Georgia (25 assists, 13 dig) and a 4-game win against Georgia Southern (44 assists, 18 digs) and against conference rival UNF, Readshaw turned in triple double with 32 assists, 17 digs and 10 kills in the 3-game match win.
For the tournament, Readshaw posted a hitting percentage of .581, tops in the league and she did so without committing a single hitting error. She earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. After the first week of the season, the Spanish and history major also ranks in the top 10 in the A-Sun in assists (fifth, 10.1 apg) and digs (sixth, 4.8 dpg).
