Macon, Ga. – With a record-setting team and individual performance, ETSU's Kaena Apana was named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week by the conference office. Apana set a conference record for digs and helped the Lady Bucs set a team record in digs and school record win-streak.

ETSU has amassed 11 straight wins this season and is undefeated in the A-Sun. Over the weekend, The Lady Bucs upset league favorite Belmont in a five game match, coming back from a two game deficit. Apana recorded 29 digs in the match. In the sweep of Lipscomb, Apana recorded 31 digs, a new record for a three game conference match. She averaged 7.50 digs per game over eight games. As a team, the Lady Bucs also set a record for digs in the same category with 84.

The Waiane, HI native is currently second in the league with digs (5.60 dpg) and is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies.

The Lady Bucs take to the road, completing their conference schedule with visits to Stetson and Mercer in the coming week. ETSU challenges Stetson Friday, October 27 at 7 p.m. in DeLand, Fla, and wraps up A-Sun play against Mercer at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 29 in Macon, Ga.

The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.

Rachel Templin, CAM (Sr. - MB - Andersonville, Tenn. - Exercise Science) -- Templin posted the second-highest attack percentage in school history hitting .733 with 11 kills and no errors in 15 attempts in CU's victory over Winston-Salem State.

Audra Harrison, GWU (Jr. - OH - Hickory, N.C. - Physical Education) -- Harrison notched a double-double with a match-high 15 kills and 13 digs, and hit .275 for the match.

Eva Stoilova, JU (Sr. - OH - Sofia, Bulgaria. - Marketing) -- Stoilova amassed 41 kills and a .400 pct. in two matches to lead JU back to .500 at 11-11. Also had 17 digs in two matches, along with four blocks and two service aces.

Liz Kane, MER (Sr. - LIB - Chicago, Ill. - Psychology) -- Kane recorded 57 digs in three matches, becoming the A-Sun career leader in digs with 1,722.

Maegan Weisert, UNF (Jr. - OH - Virginia Beach, Va. - Public Relations) -- Weisert hit .452 in the two matches with 37 kills and only four errors. She also had a 24 total digs.
