Macon, Ga. – Belmont's Erin Janson helped lead the Bruins to a 4-0 week and
a tournament title to be named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week. In 15 games,
Janson racked up 58 kills, 39 digs, seven aces, and six blocks, while hitting
.257.
The senior outside hitter was named MVP of the Nike Challenge Tournament,
as Belmont knocked off Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI and Arkansas State to win the
tourney. Janson and Bruins also defeated Austin Peay earlier in the week. At
11-2, Belmont is currently on a seven game winning streak.
Janson is a native of Crestview Hills, Ky. and is majoring in Public Relations.
She and the Bruins will return to the court Friday, Sept. 29 when they travel
to take on Stetson in conference action.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Monday during
the 2006 volleyball campaign.
The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.

Rachel Templin, CAM (Sr. - MB - Andersonville, Tenn. - Exercise
Science) -- Templin was named to the All-Tournament Team of the Wofford Invitational
after averaging 4.33 kills and 1.08 blocks per game.
Jennifer Emerson,
ETSU (Sr. - S - Tracy, Calif. - Biology) -- Emerson earned her third
all-tournament team selection of the season this past weekend, dishing out 124
assists.
Regina Feagin, GWU
(Fr. - S - Bloomington, Ill. - Undecided)-- Feagin recorded
two double-doubles on the winning, helping the Bulldogs win both matches and
extending their winning streak to three.

Black , KSU (Fr. - OH - Mishawaka, Ind. - Business) -- In the Owls'
three matches, the freshman recorded 24 kills and 15 digs at the Catamount Clash
tournament.
Kellie Violette, MER
(Sr. - MB - Dixon, Calif. - Political Science) -- Violette set her career high
in kills (20) in the match against Chattanooga. She garnered All-Tournament
team honors at the IU Credit Union Invitational.
