FGCU Wins, Clinches Spot in A-Sun Volleyball Championship

MACON, Ga. – FGCU topped a surging North Florida team 3-1 in A-Sun volleyball Tuesday to extend its win streak to 13 games and become the first team to grab a spot in the A-Sun Volleyball Championship.

The Eagles' 12th A-Sun win and 13th straight overall punched their championship ticket as Jill Hopper led all hitters with 20 kills to help FGCU end North Florida's three-game win streak. The Ospreys' Britt Claessens posted the most assists with 50 on the night.
