Atlantic Sun Volleyball Recap: Sept. 21

MACON, Ga. – ETSU and Northern Kentucky avoided two straight losses, FGCU picked up a win in its season opener and Mercer won its third straight in A-Sun volleyball action Friday night.

Lipscomb and Mercer remain undefeated in A-Sun play, as both now stand at 2-0 on the season. Two Bears recorded double-doubles against Stetson, Jamie Duffy (11 kills, 18 digs) and Milly Locke (11 kills, 15 digs). ETSU also recorded a pair of double-doubles in its win: Megan Devine (15 kills, 19 digs) and Ivey Rice (16 kills, 12 assists). North Florida's Paige Pridgeon led all players with 18 kills, USC Upstate's Emily Sanders had the evening's high in assists (24) and ETSU's Rice tallied the most digs (19).

Also recording double-doubles were Stetson's Kaley Melville (14 kills, 18 digs), FGCU's Jill Hopper (11 kills, 12 digs) and NKU's Kelly Morrissey (15 kills, 15 digs). Pridgeon also added 13 digs for her double-double.
