MACON, Ga. - Old Dominion's Connor Carson led the Monarchs to two victories last week and was rewarded with the Atlantic Sun Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Central Michigan's Jocelyne Lemay and Stetson's Whitney Meyers shared the Defensive Player of the Week honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Carson collects her second career A-Sun Player of the Week award and first this season after an outstanding week for the Monarchs. She scored two goals and added an assist in ODU's season opening win at Longwood. In the home opener three days later, Carson completed her hat trick with the game-winning goal with eight seconds left on the clock to push ODU past Campbell. She was a force in the draw with seven draw controls in both games combined. Carson also caused three turnovers as ODU opens the season with a 2-0 record.

Lemay becomes the first Central Michigan player to garner an A-Sun weekly award as she picks up the Co-Defensive Player of the Week. She played a key role in CMU's inaugural program win as the defense held Gardner-Webb to just four goals. Lemay caused a game-high four turnovers and picked up three ground balls. She also helped out on offense with three goals on four shots.

Stetson's goalie Meyers earns her second career A-Sun Co-Defensive Player of the Week after a stellar performance in the Hatters' first win of 2016. Meyers held Cincinnati of the Big East to just six goals, while producing a game-high 10 saves. After conceding four goals in the opening half, Meyers and the defense clamped down to allow only two goals in the second period. Meyers added five ground balls to lift the Hatters to a 9-6 victory over the Bearcats.
