The 2008 ESPN the Magazine Baseball and Softball Academic All-District Teams were announced today as selected by CoSIDA and 10Atlantic Sun student-athletes earned spots on the First or Second Team.
Mercer's baseball team landed a pair on the First Team in senior Mike Armstrong and senior John Dortch while Stetson's Andrea Migliori and Campbell's Karlie Love landed on the First Team for softball.
Softball's Player of the Year, Florida Gulf Coast's Carmen Paez made the Second Team along with Vanesa Flores from USC Usptate and Lipscomb's Kellie Sirus. UNF's Preston Hale made the Second Team for baseball while his teammate Travis Martin earned Third-Team honors. Mercer placed a third player on an All District Team with Billy Shaughnessy making the third team,
