Macon, Ga. -- Jacksonville's Beth Glasscock and Katie Dobson swept the Atlantic
Sun Player & Pitcher of the Week honors announced by the conference office today.
Glasscock recorded 20 total bases, nine hits, nine RBI, three home runs and two
doubles to lead the Dolphins with a .346 average in nine games this week. She
added her first career home run, two-run shot, against Seton Hall to help the
Dolphins to a 6-1 victory. The senior from Leitchfield, Ky., hit a RBI double
in a 2-1 loss against Northern Illinois at the USF adidas Invitational. Glasscock
hit a walk-off two-run home run to help the Dolphins down Fordham, 4-2, in extra
innings at the USF adidas Invitational and launched a three-run homer against
Buffalo to propel the Dolphins into the Bronze Flight final of the USF adidas
Invitational.
Dobson logged 38.1 innings in seven appearances and picked up four wins for the
Dolphins this week. The Clearwater, Fla. native hurled five complete games this
week including an eight inning effort for a victory against Fordham. Dobson also
recorded seven strikeouts and allowed one run in a 6-1 victory against Seton Hall.
She struck out four batters on three occasions (Tennessee Tech, Northern Illinois
and Buffalo).

Lauren Caviness, CAM (So. - LHP - Fuquay-Varina, N.C. - Pre-Pharmacy)
-- Caviness allowed just six earned runs in 25 innings of work, while striking
out 28 batters compared to just eight walks. The sophomore lefty pickup up both
Campbell wins on the week and threw her fourth complete-game shutout in the process.
Lisa Lamb, KSU (Sr. - P - Marietta, Ga. - Undecided) --
For the week, Lamb started four games while throwing 20 innings. She recorded
two complete games and one shutout for the week. She finished the week with a
3-1 record to help Kennesaw State win its first-ever Division I softball tournament.
Gwen Williams, UNF (So. - 2B - Jacksonville, Fla.. - Sports Medicine)
-- Williams belted her first two home runs of the season against ACC foe N.C.
State. She drove home three runs on the week, scored a pair of runs and had two
doubles to go along with three walks.
Erica Demers, STET (Fr. - RHP - Miami, Fla. - Undecided)
-- Demers led Stetson in the circle with a 3-0 mark and a 0.00 ERA last week.
The freshman posted shutouts against Central Michigan, Florida and Iowa State.
She tallied 11 strikeouts and just one walk while allowing no runs or extra base
hits in 23 innings.
