Saturday, November 19, 2011 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Top-seeded Belmont faces off with cross-town rival and two-time defending champions, Lipscomb, in the 2011 Atlantic Sun Volleyball Championship Final on Sunday at 3 p.m. CT. The two teams split the regular-season title with identical 11-2 conference records. Both teams also feature the A-Sun Co-Players of the Year with Belmont's senior outside hitter Maggie Johnson and Lipscomb's senior middle blocker Katie Rose. Lipscomb disposed of FGCU to reach the final with a 3-0 sweep of the Eagles, while the Bruins needed five sets to rally for the 3-2 win against ETSU in the semifinals. In their first meeting of the season, Lipscomb captured a 3-2 win in Allen Arena on Oct. 6th, however 19 days later Belmont earned a 3-1 win in the Curb Event Center.
