CULLOWHEE, N.C. – ETSU could not overcome Western Carolina’s 54-point first half performance, and the Lady Bucs saw their season come to an end with a 91-63 loss in the first round of the WNIT Thursday night inside the Ramsey Center.
The Catamounts outscored ETSU 21-7 in the game's first seven minutes and never trailed. The Lady Bucs managed to shoot just 25.4% from the floor while turning the ball over 22 times to seal their fate.
Senior Brooke Wilhoit scored 18 points in her final game with ETSU while fellow All-Atlantic Sun performer Michele DeVault added 16 points and 11 boards. All 11 WCU players scored with four reaching double figures.
The Lady Bucs finish with 20 wins for only the second time in school history.
