MACON, Ga. – Stetson's Chester Espie tied a school record with his 20th-straight singles victory to earn the Atlantic Sun Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Espie earned four singles victories on the week and three doubles wins.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Chester Espie, Stetson (So. – Auckland, New Zealand – Business Administration)
- First Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor
- Went undefeated in both singles and doubles play
- Tied a school record with his 20th-straight singles victory
- Posted four wins in singles play and three in doubles
- Hatters moved to 8-0 on the season
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Julien Belair (Sr., North Florida) - Won a pair of matches at No. 3 singles and two at No. 1 doubles
- Louis Theodor (So., Kennesaw State) - Secured first singles win with 6-2, 6-2 victory vs. ECU's Damien Brenard
