River City Rivals Meet in A-Sun Game of the Week

MACON, Ga. - Jacksonville hosts UNF in the Atlantic Sun Game of the Week at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Ashley Sports Complex in the latest installment of the SunTrust River City Rumble live on ASunTV.

UNF looks to build on its 2-0 upset win against Stetson. In their first eight losses of season, the Ospreys gave up 24 goals (3.0 - goals per game) but in their win against Stetson, UNF goalkeeper, Julian Beau shut out the Hatters for the first time this season. Jacksonville also started slow as the Dolphins went winless in their first four matches but the Dolphins have turned things around in their last five matches. Jacksonville, picked first in the A-Sun Preseason Coaches’ Poll, has earned wins in three of its last five games. The Dolphins scored four or more goals in each of their wins including a win over then No. 26 College of Charleston.

One key match up in this battle of cross town rivals will be Jacksonville’s Andy Mikeska and Stefan Runeman against UNF goalkeeper Julian Beau. In the Ospreys’ win against Stetson, Beau pitched a shutout but in UNF’s first eight games the Osprey’s gave up three goals per game. Jacksonville goalkeeper Joey Sanchez heads into the weekend with a 2.87 goals-against average with a .514 save percentage. Sanchez earned A-Sun Preseason All-Conference honors after posting a 1.19 GAA and .759 save percentage in 2008. The Dolphins have scored 16 goals in their last five games.
