Stetson Sweeps Player of the Week Honors
|

MACON, Ga. - Stetson’s Griffin Gilstrap earned Player of the Week honors after posting seven points on the weekend and teammate Robert Hodge earned Defensive Player of the Week laurels as the Hatters stayed unbeaten and untied this past weekend.
Gilstrap, a native of Safety Harbour, Fla., scored two goals and assisted on the winning goal in a 3-2 win against Florida International in Miami. He also scored the only goal in Stetson's 1-0 road win at Florida Atlantic. The senior forward became the Atlantic Sun leader in both points and goals over the weekend and helped Stetson remain the lone A-Sun undefeated squad at 3-0-0.
Hodge, a senior defender, helped the Hatters to two road wins this weekend as they defeat Florida International 3-2 on Friday and shutout Florida Atlantic 1-0 on Sunday. The sports management major from Devon, England helped Stetson post a team goals-against average of 1.00. Hodge, a 2009 A-Sun Preseason All-Conference member, proved instrumental in fending off FAU's second half charge on Sunday.
