MACON, Ga. - A pair of Dolphins who helped spearhead a double-overtime victory against Loyola-Chicago earned the first A-Sun Men's Soccer Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week awards of 2007, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Forward Anton Axelsson provided the offense while backup goalkeeper Matt Gilman protected the net.

Axelsson, a senior from Vaxjo, Sweden, put the Dolphins in front with a goal in the sixth minute. The lead held up until the Ramblers tied it late in the first half. The score remained deadlocked into the second overtime when Axelsson set up the game-winner with a cross to Ramak Niakan.

The Dolphins were still in the game thanks to the play of Gilman. Filling in for starter Joey Sanchez, who was out with a broken finger, Gilman, a redshirt freshman from Ocala, Fla. recorded nine saves and posted a 0.89 GAA against a Rambers squad that put up four goals one game before against Cincinnati.
