BU's Henry and Lipscomb's Prichard Claim Weekly Awards

MACON, Ga. – Belmont’s Derrick Henry and Lipscomb’s Danny Prichard each picked up their first A-Sun Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday.
Henry scored two goals on three shots in Belmont's win over UNC Asheville on Friday, including the game-winner for the Bruins.
The Montego Bay, Jamaica native followed up that performance with a first-half goal in the team's tie against Central Arkansas on Sunday, leading the Bruins to an undefeated week. The weekend helped the Bruins snap a five-match losing streak. The junior majors in Management.
Prichard blanked Western Kentucky on September 14 for his second straight shutout. The freshman is the only goalkeeper in the A-Sun with two shutouts. For the year, the Tacoma, Wash., native leads the league in shutouts and total saves while ranking second in goals against average. Prichard is majoring in pre-Physical Therapy.
The Atlantic Sun Conference hands out offensive and defensive Player of the Week awards weekly during the 2006 soccer campaign.
The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, UNF and Stetson with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate beginning competition in 2007-08.
