Monday, September 26, 2011 MACON, Ga. – FGCU’s Andres Navas and ETSU’s Ryan Coulter played integral parts in their team’s success this week as Navas scored the deciding goal in 2-1 win against No. 8 UCF, while Coulter held Virginia Tech and No. 23 Furman scoreless to give the Bucs an undefeated week. PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andres Navas, FGCU (Jr. – Midfield – Miami, Fla. – Engineering) • First Career Player of the Week award • Scored the game-winning goal against No. 8 UCF on Saturday • His goal gave the Eagles its third win in program history against ranked opponents • Tied for team lead in points and goals OTHER NOMINEES: • Will Betts (Jr., Mercer) – Added his third goal of the season at Nebraska-Omaha • Will Moorad (Sr., Belmont) – Registered his 17th career goal in loss to Evansville • Nick Bibb (So., Lipscomb) – Scored twice in less than two minutes against SIU-Edwardsville DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Coulter, ETSU (So. – Goalkeeper – Dublin, Ireland) • Second Career Player of the Week award; second this season • Allowed no goals in 200 minutes of play on the week, while stopping nine shots • Recorded 1-0 shutout of Virginia Tech on Tuesday • Capped week with seven saves in 0-0 tie against No. 23 Furman OTHER NOMINEES: • Luis Ocejo (Jr., Stetson) – Scored first career goal to tie the match against George Washington • Greg Ranjitsingh (Fr., Mercer) – Tallied third shutout of the season with 2-0 win at UNO
