MACON, Ga. - ETSU continued its successful campaign in indoor track and field at the Appalachian State Limited Open over the weekend. Sprinter Quentin Greenlee posted the Atlantic Sun's fastest time this season in both the 55-meter and 200-meter dashes to earn his first Athlete of the Week Award, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Morristown, Tenn., native set the new Clemson track record in the 300-meter dash at the Clemson Invitational January 16-17. The freshman followed that performance by finishing fourth (out of 51 athletes) in the 55-meter with a blazing speed of 6.35. He was second only to Appalachain State’s John Svoboda by 0.16 of a second in the 200 with a time of 22.37.

A select few Buccaneer athletes will compete at next weekend's Liberty Open in Lynchburg, Va., while the rest of the ETSU track team will not return to action until the Niswonger Invitational at the end of the month.

Other Top Performers:
James Miles, USC Upstate (Thrower - Travelers Rest, S.C. - So. - Physical Education) -- Miles finished seventh among 40 opponents in the shot put on Saturday with a throw of 13.87 meters (45-06.25), losing only to throwers from Appalachian State and Western Carolina. He bested all A-Sun opponents from ETSU. He finished seventh in the men's weight throw event, setting both a personal and school record with a throw of 14.22 meters (46-08.00). He owned the record at 13.11 meters.
