Date Posted: 2/1/2006
Macon, Ga. -- Campbell's Lincoln Gordon does it again, winning two events and
setting a school record. He was named Athlete of the Week today by the conference
office.
The Fuquay-Varina, N.C., native won both events he entered and set the school
record in the triple jump. The sophomore broke his own school record in the triple
jump for the second time this season with a jump of 49-10.50 at the On Track Open
hosted by Liberty University. The jump was more than a foot and a half longer
than his old record, which he set at the UNC Opener this year. He also shattered
his personal best jump in the long jump with a leap of 23-00.50 to win the event
by almost a full foot.
Both marks lead the league and were close to NCAA Provisional standards.
Gordon is majoring in Social Work.
The Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the 2006

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell,
