MACON, Ga. – In this, the fifth week of indoor competition, Gardner-Webb’s Dobson Collins won the school’s third men’s Atlantic Sun Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award in 2008m the conference office announced on Wednesday. Collins turned in top 10 performances in the 55m dash and in the 55m hurdles at the Appalachian Limited Meet.
Collins, a junior biology major from Stone Mountain, Ga., set the school record in the 55m hurdles, finishing in a time of 7.70 seconds. Collins now leads the conference in the 55m hurdles with his performance. He took fourth in the event. In the 55m dash, Collins crossed the line in 6.60 seconds, finishing seventh in the event

Jarrod Burton, ETSU (So. – Throws – Bastian, Va. – Education) – Recorded a third-place finish in the weight with is mark of 55-07.50 (16.95m). The Virginia native also made his second appearance in the shot put this season, and finished fifth (48-10; 14.88m).
