Josh Gallman Concludes Fall with Second Monthly Award

MACON, Ga. - USC Upstate's Josh Gallman wrapped up a successful fall season by winning the Stetson/CFSC Invitational, held on November 5-6, for his second title of the season. He also claimed the Sea Trail Intercollegiate in September. After taking the Sea Trail event, he earned the Atlantic Sun's Golfer of the Month. He followed that pattern of winning Golfer of the Month honor for November, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
By winning a pair of fall awards, Gallman, a sophomore business major from Gaffney, S.C. joins former ETSU star Rhys Davies as the only two golfers to win multiple monthly awards during the fall season. Davies won awards in October and November in 2006 and swept the September, October and November awards in the fall of 2005
Gallman won the nine-team, 45-man field event hosted by league foe Stetson contested at Victoria Hills Country Club. The field also included league rival Florida Gulf Coast. He finished the event at 4-under-par to win by a dominating six strokes. He was a combined 7-under in his final two rounds to win the individual title going away. In addition to winning the Sea Trail Intercollegiate, Gallman led Upstate to the team title at the Rutgers Invitational. Gallman owns a 71.1 stroke average for the year with four Top 5 individual finishes in six tournaments.
