Belmont Posts Top-10 Finish at Mason Rudolph Championship

Franklin, Tenn. – The Belmont men’s golf team finished in eighth place at this weekend’s Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate hosted by Vanderbilt at the Legends Club in Franklin.
The Bruins shot a team score of 302 in Sunday’s final round, which gave them a 54-hole score of 884. They finished just six shots behind sixth place teams Ole Miss and Kansas. The overall team champion was Virginia, who shot 281 to move past SMU for the title.
Belmont was led by junior Jeff Lanier (Austin, Texas), who finished in a tie for 15th place with a 54-hole score of 217 (one-over par). He shot 71 on Sunday, his best round of the tournament.
