Macon, Ga. - Gardner Webb sophomore Lucas McAneney (North Bay, Ontario) was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week today as announced by the conference office.

In last Saturday's Winthrop Invitational, McAneney finished eighth, leading the Bulldogs with a time of 26:53.00. His mark of 26:25.00 at the Clemson Invitational is currently third in the league. This is McAneney's second Runner of the Week honor.

The Bulldogs are set to host the Gardner-Webb Duals September 30.

The Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the 2005 cross country season.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
