Macon, Ga. - Campbell junior Jeremy Helf (Ontario, Canada/Athletic
Training major) was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week today as announced
by the conference office.
In last weekend’s Lou Onesty Invitationall, Helf finished 28th overall to lead
the Camels. His time of 25:44.51 was a personal best in the 8K event and placed
him in the top-10 all time for Campbell. He topped his own previous mark of
25:50.
The Fighting Camels will be back in action when they compete in the Great American
Cross Country Festival Sept. 24 in Cary, N.C.
Campbell hosts the 2005 Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships
on Oct. 29.
The Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the
2005 cross country season.
The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb,
Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
