MACON, Ga. -- After leading Belmont to a second place finish at the Tennessee
Invitational, Jacob Buckman was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week Wednesday
by the conference office.
Buckman placed sixth out of 102 runners to finish with a time of 27:08 in the
8K race. He was one of five Bruins to finish in the top-15.
The Louisville, Ky. native is a junior majoring in Business.
The Bruins will be back in action Saturday at the Commodore Classic.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Athlete of the Week every Wednesday
during the 2006 cross country season.
The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
