JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The University of North Florida men's and women's cross country teams will chart into familiar waters during the 2006 season. The Ospreys will compete in six meets, five of which they participated in last season.
The season will begin in Jacksonville on Sept. 1 at the JU Short Course Duals, which will be run at Jacksonville University. Following the JU meet, the UNF teams will compete in three more meets in the state of Florida before heading to Greenville, S.C, for the Furman Invitational on Oct. 14.
"It's a competitive schedule. We start cross town with JU and a couple other schools," UNF coach Mark VanAlstyne said. "We have week off and go to the University of Florida. That should be competitive before heading off to the Florida Runners."
