Matthew Driscoll Named UNF Men's Basketball Coach
|

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Fresh off of helping lead the Baylor men's basketball team to a spot in the NIT finals earlier this week, Baylor assistant coach Matthew Driscoll has been hired by UNF Director of Athletics Lee Moon as the Ospreys newest men's basketball coach.
Driscoll becomes the fourth coach in the history of the UNF men’s basketball program, which first started competing during the 1992-93 season.
“We are extremely excited to welcome coach Driscoll to the UNF family,” Moon said. “He is a tremendous leader and somebody who is respected by both his peers and players. A new era has begun for UNF Athletics with all of our programs becoming full-fledged NCAA Division I members next season, and a new era has begun for UNF basketball as well.”
Driscoll will be introduced to members of the media and UNF Athletics family on Tuesday at a 12:30 p.m. press conference.
A former Pittsburgh, Penn., native, Driscoll has been at Baylor the last six years, serving as coach Scott Drew’s top assistant.
