MACON, Ga. - Since the conclusion of a season that saw three A-Sun schools make the postseason, individuals have earned end-of-year honors from multiple media outlets.
The honors started with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announcing its All-District teams. ETSU's Kevin Tiggs and Courtney Pigram, along with Campbell's Jonathan Rodriguez earned spots on the First Team. VMI's Chavis Holmes and Liberty's Anthony Smith rounded out the five-man squad. A-Sun Player of the Year, Alex Renfroe, and Stetson's Garfield Blair made the Second Team.
CollegeInsider.com has announced awards throughout the week. On its conference awards, the site named Tiggs the Player of the Year and Renfroe the MVP. It also tabbed Bob Hoffman as the conference's Coach of the Year. In choosing its 21-player Mid-Major Defensive All-America Team, ETSU's Tommy Hubbard earned a spot on the team. Tiggs and Renfore each landed on the Mid-Major All-America Team.
The AP announced its All-America team earlier in the week Renfroe earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list.
