League Leaders Belmont & Lipscomb Maintain Lead in NCAA's Tightest Race
|

League leaders Belmont and Lipscomb made emphatic statements on Friday night with dominating home wins that kept the Music City duo atop the Atlantic Sun Conference standings heading into the regular season's final game.
James Poindexter led four Bisons in double figures with 16 points as Lipscomb turned a five point halftime deficit around in their 76-56 victory over ETSU at Allen Arena. The Bisons hit seven second half three-pointers to pull away from the visiting Bucs in the A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week.
Right down the street, Belmont overcame a six-point halftime deficit by outscoring visiting Kennesaw State by 28 points in the second half of their 86-64 win. Center Boomer Herndon led five Bruins in double figures with 21 points in just 27 minutes of action.
Both teams control their own destiny heading into Sunday's regular season finale. A win will clinch either team at least a share of the A-Sun title.
