FAU & Gardner-Webb Keep Pace in Nation's Tightest Regular Season Race
|

Florida Atlantic and Gardner-Webb both secured clutch road wins to keep pace in the nation's most competitive regular season race.
No other Division I conference can boast five teams standing within one game of first place. Two of those teams facing off in the A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week on Friday when Lipscomb hosts ETSU.
In Thursday's action, Florida Atlantic used a balance attack to defeat UNF 74-53. The Owls led by double figures for over 35 minutes worth of action as Kevin Green and Carlos Monroe each tossed in 14 points. FAU wraps up their regular season schedule at Jacksonville on Saturday.
Tim Jennings buried his first six shots of the night on his way to a team-high 22 points in Gardner-Webb's 77-67 victory at Mercer. Five Bulldogs reached double figures as GWU keeps their hopes for a second straight regular season title alive.
In the night's other contest, red-hot Stetson won their seventh straight game, 81-79 over Campbell. The Hatters clinched the sixth-seed in next week's 2006 General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Championship. The league's hottest two teams meet on Saturday night when Stetson hosts Gardner-Webb.
