Jacksonville-Mercer Tangle in A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week

Macon, Ga. -- Mercer will making its second appearance and Jacksonville
makes its third in the A-Sun/CSS Men's Basketball Game of the Week. The Dolphins
will host the Bears at 7:30 pm Friday night. Play-by-play will be handled by
Barry Milligan and Sonny Smith will provide color anaylsis.
Jacksonville holds a 21-13 edge in its series with Mercer, but the Dolphins
have only won a single game this season. The Dolphins are looking to snap seven-game
losing streak at home. The Bears, at 8-16 overall have punched their ticket
to the A-Sun Tournament in Johnson City.
The last time the two teams met up, Mercer held off a late rally to beat the
Jacksonville men's basketball team 90-81 in a key A-Sun contest. Mercer was
on fire in the fire in the first half, taking a 53-39 lead on 59 percent shooting
and five 3-pointers. The Bears pushed the lead to 25 before hanging on late
for the win.
