Kennesaw State Leap Frogs FAU for League Lead

Macon, Ga. - After three straight games at home, the Kennesaw State men’s basketball team traveled to Mercer where the Owls pulled out a 63-57 win on Thursday night at the University Center.

The victory is the sixth straight for KSU (10-8, 8-1 Atlantic Sun Conference), which marks the longest win streak since last season when the Owls won nine consecutive games from January 26 to February 19.

The Bears pulled within three when Jacob Skogen connected on one of two foul shots to draw the score to 58-55 with 2:04 to go. That would be as close as Mercer could get, as KSU slowed down the pace and Andre Morgan and Nelson connected on their free throws down the stretch to clinch the six-point win.

Kennesaw State was 11-of-12 (.917) from the charity stripe on the night, while the Bears made just 8-of-13 freebies.

Ragsdale paced the Owls with 23-points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor. Golden Ingle added 14 and Wooten chipped in 8 for KSU.
